After Hours is a digital and on-campus resource dedicated to helping students of the SOJC navigate resources, networking, and opportunities inside and outside of the advertising industry. Starting in the fall of 2017 with a dream to make our brilliant community more connected and friendly, After Hours has grown to a current team of eight that actively hosts workshops, a podcast, writes newsletters, and collaborates with other student groups to bring that vision to life.
We’re seeking an intern for 5 positions on our team to lead our group into next year. Interns see themselves as leaders, collaborators, mentors, and have the drive and focus to grow personally and professionally.
After Hours Intern positions will be hired by the end of the Winter term and begin in the Spring term.
Interns will continue their role that is currently filled by their senior mentor in the upcoming 2022-2023 academic year – assuming that position, chopping off "intern" in their title & taking the After Hours torch in stride.

Workshop Director Intern (2 positions) —
The Workshop director is ready for whatever comes at them. You thrive on getting to talk to new people, don't mind leading a room, and get excited when you find a new opportunity to bring people together. In this position, you are responsible for writing engaging questions and leading workshops. Ideally, this person is well-spoken, energetic, organized, and passionate about the creative industry.
content producer intern (1 position) —
The Content Producer is a hybrid of talent with passions in all things content production. Your role would be to take on the back-end of anything photo/video, have a hand in the production of the After Hours podcast, and become our Squarespace/website pro. The Producer Intern will work directly with the Social Media Coordinator, Designers, and Art Directors and utilize their skills on the keyboard to turn their work into the content! Tech whizzes, this one is for you.
OUTREACH COORDINATOR INTERN (1 position) —
Ideally, this person is a public-relations minded, planning enthusiast (Account Directors, hello!). The outreach coordinator is all things outreach: contacting potential workshop hosts, scheduling those hosts, and making sure every step of the outreach process is executed in an organized and streamlined way. The outreach coordinator works closely with the workshop manager to plan and prep for upcoming workshops!
design INTERN (1 position) —
Constantly on Pinterest making mood boards? Find yourself doodling in class? The Art Director/Designer is an artist looking for a canvas. On the After Hours creative team you'll work alongside a Copywriting partner as well as under the mentorship of an SOJC Senior Art Director to execute all After Hours visual (digital and print) representation. The ideal candidate has intermediate skills in Adobe Creative Suite Programs, is passionate about kick-ass design, and self is a starter. They have a vision for what a strong brand visual persona looks like and enjoy's testing the boundaries of what's been done.
